it was so close....

my friends and i exchange the miseries of missing a train.
the story always started like……the train approached, I rushed to the platform from the ticket office, …

running fast) the bell of the train rings, i stood at the entrance of the platform and just watched the train to depart.

running faster) i arrived at the door of the train just in the very last second, griped the handle of the door, felt the train move slowly from my hands...on the platform.

running very fast!!) i entered the train at the very last minute, standing by the door gaspingly. the train started to move. i breathed a sigh of relief, and watched the train on the other side of the platform that was also ready to depart. then, i saw the sign of that train and realized that i just took the wrong train to the opposite direction.

sometimes it really does not matter that you run or don't run, or how fast you run.

abacus and calculator

my grandmother used to use her old, wooden, noisy abacus. I asked why she did not replace the abacus with a calculator. She answered "you can take airplanes, you can take cars, but you still have to go to your bed on foot, isn't it?"

smart, honest, correct

"smart, honest and correct," a friend told me this expression (more like a theory, actually), "these three characters never exist in one person at the same time." Try to apply this theory to myself and people around me, find it is interesting and very true sometimes.

hey hey

hey hey (black black) is a totally black cat, from his ears to his tail. his favorit bed is a black chair. when he sleeps on that chair, you can hardly notice his existence if not watching carefully. put a yellow collar on his neck to make him easier to be seen in the evening, but he seems not care about this new "necklace" at all. Still, he appeares without making a sound, jumps onto the chair, yawns, and then sleeps for another 16 hours.

paris

lit a cigarette, drank a glass of beer, the girl at the next table in the cafe looked into the street, focused and unfocused.

napoli

one afternoon in napoli.
it was drizzling, the air was cold, the street was never quiet. i narrowed my eyes to reduce the glare of the sun, and enveloped myself into a bar.
